  Launching of “Upset” Service to resolve customer complaints/ grievances through Short Messaging Services (SMS).

Excellence in customer service is our  motto. We  feel  our prompt and efficient service makes  customers  delight. However, customer complaints are part of the business of the banks and the customers expect that their grievances are acknowledged and addressed immediately.

In this direction, our bank has launched technology embedded service “Upset” proactively wherein customers can send their grievance through SMS direct to Head Office for immediate resolution. The salient features of the product and the workflow is as under:

  1. Our Bank has Mobile Number 9666606060 exclusively for the purpose of forwarding grievances/complaints by the customers to Head Office through SMS.
  2. The aggrieved customer is required to type the word Upset in his/her mobile and forward the same through SMS to 9666606060.
  3. A  service provider routes all inbound SMS received from the customers to Customer Service Department, Head Office
  4. Immediately on receipt of the SMS, the service provider sends Acknowledgment to the customer’s mobile instantaneously.
  5. In turn, Customer Service Department calls back the customer to elicit the details of the grievance/complaint and forwards the same to the concerned branch/office through email for doing the needful.
  6. Branch/Office shall initiate necessary steps to resolve the complaint/grievance duly following the extant guidelines and furnish the information through email to resolution@andhrabank.co.in on the same day.
  7. The status of complaint/grievance will be informed to the complainant within 48 hours by the Customer Service Department, Head Office.

The newly introduced service ‘Upset’ is an opportunity to the bank to receive the expectations of the customers online and enables the bank to initiate necessary steps for speedy Redressal of the Grievances.
